Dry Ice or Pea Souper

Dry Ice

Dancing on a cloud effect? This is the way to do it. Dry ice is quite unlike regular ice. In reality dry ice is actually frozen Carbon Dioxide which creates floor level fog when it contacts water.

  • Pros: Low lying cloud effect which cannot be duplicated
  • Cons: Dry Ice pellets are fairly expensive. In order to fill an average sized dance floor for one song it takes quite a lot of dry ice. Because the resulting "fog" is essentially water vapor it can make your dance floor slippery. Your DJ can discuss various ways around this when you call.
